BTS is the first Korean group to top the Billboard Hot 100. The news about BTS, which is making new K-pop history by gaining worldwide fame, is always a hot topic.

BTS carries out overseas tours every year to meet their international fans. During these tours, they inevitably have to stay in hotels. It is said that BTS usually rents an entire floor of a hotel for each tour.

Renting an entire hotel floor may not be cheap, but there’s a clear reason why they persist with this method.

Whenever BTS holds a concert, not only do the tickets sell out as soon as they open, but the nearby hotels also become fully booked.

The members often conduct live broadcasts from their hotel after the concert to console fans who couldn’t attend the concert because they couldn’t get tickets.

Once, during a live broadcast, member Jin arrived and said, “I didn’t know where you guys were, so I had to go around listening at each door.”

This happened because BTS had rented the entire floor. BTS rents a whole hotel floor precisely because of the Sasaeng fans (obsessive fan who acts in ways that invade the privacy of Korean idols, drama actors, or other public figures as a threat to the entertainment industry).

Sasaeng fans chase after BTS’s vehicles to find out which hotel they are staying in, and even take proof shots in front of the hotel. Some Sasaeng fans even follow them into the bathrooms dressed as men and intentionally cause accidents.

In addition to these, unimaginable incidents occur pretty frequently. As their popularity grows, the excessive attention from Sasaeng fans becomes a severe problem.

Once, while Jimin was doing a live broadcast from a hotel, the hotel’s name was accidentally exposed. After this incident, BTS had to move hotels in fear of Sasaeng fans showing up.

They have suffered due to the excessive behavior of Sasaeng fans. The company is likely renting an entire hotel floor to protect the artists.

Recently, BTS member Jungkook received many food deliveries from Sasaeng fans, which sparked controversy. Sasaeng fans who found out Jungkook’s home address sent many food deliveries there, causing significant inconvenience to the celebrity.

BTS members have openly expressed their feelings about Sasaeng fans during live broadcasts. As their behavior becomes more extreme, fans also take active measures to protect BTS from Sasaeng fans. If you genuinely care for the artist, we sincerely hope you will stop these excessive behaviors.
