It has been revealed that defected Russian dissidents have requested the Western alliance’s support for assassinating officials of Vladimir Putin’s regime.
The Times of the UK reported on the 26th that the Shadow Parliament, established by anti-Putin lawmakers, held a four-day meeting in Warsaw, Poland, to discuss seven protest plans to overthrow the regime. The so-called Victory Plan includes calls for Western support for expanding sanctions against Russia and increasing arms support for Ukraine. The Times said, “The Victory Plan is scheduled to be submitted at the 75th NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) summit in Washington DC early next month.”
Exiled politicians from the Shadow Parliament requested support for assassination operations against Putin’s regime officials, arguing that only force can overthrow Putin’s regime. They also claimed that “The Kremlin is killing countless Russian and Ukrainian soldiers and civilians on the front lines every day” and “The use of force is essential to achieve victory against Putin’s murderers, financiers, and propagandists, and it is morally justified.” Ilya Ponomarev, a former member of the Russian State Duma, an executive member of the Shadow Parliament, and political coordinator of the National Republican Army (NRA), emphasized that “Only the demolition of Putin’s regime can end the war in Ukraine.”
The Shadow Parliament, founded by Russian exiled lawmakers in November 2022, is a political organization of the Free Russian Legion (FRL) and is known to consist of 106 current and former Russian lawmakers. The Free Russian Legion is a military organization composed of four battalions of soldiers fighting in Ukraine and the NRA operating inside Russia. The Shadow Parliament has its constitution and creates laws for Russia after President Putin based on social democracy. They are known to prioritize the Federal Security Service (FSB) disbandment.
