Reports from foreign media indicate that 500 North Korean soldiers have been killed in combat operations in Russia’s Kursk region. The attack, which took place on November 20, involved British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles, according to RBC.
Citing a source from Global Defense Corporation, RBC reported that three North Korean soldiers were also injured in the strike, including two male officers and a female medic or interpreter. However, these details have not been independently verified at this time.
This attack marks the first deployment of the UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles by Ukrainian forces against Russian targets. These long-range weapons, with an operational reach of approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles), were used last week. Initial reports suggest that the strike also inflicted casualties on Russian forces, with eighteen killed and thirty-three wounded.
