World DJ Festival

The World DJ Festival successfully concluded in Seoul, attracting nearly 90,000 attendees.

From June 15-16, the 2024 World DJ Festival took place at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, featuring performances by globally renowned DJs and producers including Eric Prydz, The Chainsmokers, Alan Walker, KSHMR, MORTEN, Alok, and Gryffin. The event successfully drew in 90,000 spectators over two days. Particularly this year, the proportion of foreign attendees, mainly from Southeast Asian countries, accounted for 15% of the total audience, earning the festival the reputation of a leading global EDM festival representing Asia.

On the first day of the festival on June 15, rain in the morning ceased just before the performance, heightening anticipation for the event. The festival officially began with performances on the welcome stage which general visitors could also enjoy, and featured the essence of hardstyle DJing with DJs from Q-dance, a Dutch hardstyle festival production company. DJs included Bass Modulators, Frequencerz, Hard Driver, Warface, and Frontliner. Additionally, the stages led by MORTEN and KSHMR maximized the audience’s adrenaline. The day’s main headliner, Eric Prydz, received praise for his class-affirming performance.

The performance on June 16, which started under clear skies, showcased a lineup more glamorous than ever, worthy of being called a record-breaking lineup. The show in collaboration with Monstercat, a globally recognized bass label, was at the center of attention. The Monstercat stage, where Darren Styles, Nostalgix, Trivecta, Adventure Club, and CHYL took the stage, captivated the audience with a variety of music genres being played, including deep house, future house, progressive house, and hardstyle. The headliner, Alan Walker, received a great response with his hit songs and the audience’s sing-along. The performances by Gryffin, Alok, and The Chainsmokers on the main stage evoked the heat and reaction of a rock festival.
