North Korea marked the 74th anniversary of the Korean War by mobilizing around 100,000 residents for a Day of Struggle Against U.S. Imperialism rally, escalating anti-American and anti-South Korean sentiments.

On the 26th, the Rodong Sinmun reported that around 100,000 people gathered for a mass rally in Pyongyang at a stadium for the Day of Struggle Against U.S. Imperialism. Attendees included labor organizations, religious groups, central institutions, city institutions, factories, businesses, workers, young students, diplomatic corps in North Korea, members of the military mission, and overseas Koreans residing in North Korea.

The Rodong Sinmun reported that “speakers at the rally condemned the inhumane crimes, expressing their determination to annihilate the unchanging arch-enemies, such as the U.S. imperialists and South Korean puppets.” It is stated that the speakers at the rally described the U.S. and South Korea as aggressors and provocateurs, claiming they will never change even after 700 or 1,000 years.

North Korea held similar rallies across various provinces, cities, and counties on the 25th.
