The British media, The Boot Room, reported on the 10th (local time) that “Haaland has been ranked the most valuable player in the first half of 2023. He had a historic season last year at Manchester City, achieving a ‘treble’ by winning the Champions League, EPL, and FA Cup. This season, he has scored 8 goals in 8 matches, leading the EPL in scoring.”

The media said, “Haaland’s transfer fee recorded 196.1 million euros (approximately $220 million), making him the most expensive soccer player in transfer fees in the first half of 2023.”

They added, “Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) recorded a transfer fee of 181.6 million euros (approximately $204 million), making him the second most expensive soccer player in terms of transfer fees in the first half of 2023.”

The media reported, “Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid recorded a transfer fee of 157.5 million euros (approximately $177 million), making him the third most expensive soccer player in transfer fees in the first half of 2023.”

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland, despite his bulky stature of 6’4″ and 194 lbs, is a forward known for his incredible agility, power, and resilience in physical duels.

He has world-class goal-scoring ability. His left foot, his primary foot, has extraordinary power and accuracy, often scoring even from angles that would typically be challenging for goalkeepers. If he gets the angle right, he rarely misses.

Even in games where he or his teammates are underperforming, if the ball comes to him, he at least hits the goalpost, making him a soccer player with a high-scoring efficiency.

Erling Haaland is seen warming up before a match between Atlético Madrid and Manchester City FC in the Coupang Play Series 2nd round held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on July 30th. / News1
