BTS member Jungkook is facing criticism due to the overbearing actions of a ‘sasaeng’ fan.

Recently, a video posted by a foreign woman on her Instagram account has stirred controversy as it was shared across various SNS and online communities.

The shared video captured the gathering of the so-called ’97 line’, which includes BTS’s Jungkook, Astro’s Cha Eun-woo, and NCT’s Jaehyun, all born in 1997.

The three were having a meal with a non-celebrity friend at a bar in Apgujeong when the foreign woman recognized them and approached them with her camera on.

The woman brazenly requested an autograph, continuing to film Jungkook’s flustered reaction. Jaehyun eventually intervened, politely asking her to leave by saying, “Sorry, but we’re having a meal together right now,” but the woman continued to film.

Eventually, the woman sat inside the bar and secretly filmed the three until they left.

After confirming their departure, she even went to their table and stole the paper cups they had used, later bragging that they were “paper cups used by Jungkook and Cha Eun-woo.”

Netizens who saw the video criticized her actions, saying, “What you’re doing is a crime,” “Don’t you know how to respect privacy,” “Don’t shove your camera in people’s faces without their consent,” and “Real fans don’t do this.” The account was subsequently deleted.

Meanwhile, Jungkook has previously expressed discomfort with ‘sasaeng’ fans, stating during a Las Vegas tour concert that he was “scared” and “uncomfortable” with their calls. He also warned those who sent food deliveries to his home to “stop,” signaling a strong response.
