On the 9th, Ohtani announced on his Instagram, “I am donating a total of 60,000 baseball gloves, three each to all 20,000 elementary schools in Japan.”
He added, “I hope they have healthy and happy days through baseball, and I look forward to playing baseball with the children who use these gloves in the future.”
Ohtani has prepared New Balance gloves, with whom he signed a glove usage contract, since this year.
The gift from ‘Santa Ohtani,’ who came a month early, was packed with three gloves in each box.
Ohtani posted a picture of himself wearing the same product he donated on Instagram, along with a handwritten note and signature saying, “Let’s play baseball!”
