[TV Report=Kim Yeon-joo] In celebration of Warner Brothers’ 100th anniversary, the re-release of *Batman* has been confirmed along with various theater-specific events lined up to captivate movie fans.

The ‘Warner Brothers 100th Anniversary Special Exhibition,’ which showcased a variety of films this year to commemorate Warner Brothers’ 100th anniversary, confirmed the screening of *Batman* on the 13th. Following the hot response from audiences with the re-release of Joaquin Phoenix’s *Joker* and *The Dark Knight*, the re-release of *Batman*, which can be considered the original live-action movie of the Batman series, is expected to hold special significance for movie fans. The anticipation is growing even more with various on-site events planned for theater-goers.

The upcoming re-release of ‘Batman’ marks the iconic beginning of the live-action film series for the DC Comics character ‘Batman,’ causing a sensation upon its initial release. Directed by Tim Burton, the film portrays the inevitable clash between the Gotham City protector ‘Batman’ and the arch-nemesis ‘Joker,’ earning widespread acclaim for Burton’s unique style and the film’s dreamlike atmosphere. The movie has garnered a strong fan base in Korea as well.

In particular, Michael Keaton’s original Batman, who presented a powerful performance that surpassed the original by seriously depicting the anguish Batman experiences as a hero, will imprint his dignity on the audience. In addition, the legendary actor Jack Nicholson’s performance, which portrayed the Joker character, who has received enormous love, as a villain with a playful, relaxed, but powerful charisma, will provide a rare opportunity to enjoy on screen.

On-site events to be held in conjunction with the release of *Batman* at CGV, Lotte Cinema, Megabox, and Cine Q nationwide are expected to attract the attention of movie fans. The events will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis for audience members who verify their movie tickets at the entrance on the day of the event. CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Megabox will each give away different special posters, while Cine Q will give away special posters and special tickets. Detailed information about the event can be found on the official websites and apps of each theater.
