Stray Kids Lee Know Becomes Youngest Member of World Vision’s Bob Pierce Honor Club

joynews24 Views

Stray Kids member Lee Know was named an honoree of the Bob Pierce Honor Club by international aid organization World Vision on February 28.

The Bob Pierce Honor Club, named after World Vision’s founder, recognizes high-level donors who have contributed over 100 million won ($84,500). Members actively promote global understanding and the value of sharing. This transparent donation group encourages a culture of giving by showcasing the impact of sponsorships. Notable members include JYP Entertainment’s producer Jin Young Park and individuals from various sectors who champion the value of sharing.

In January, Lee Know donated 100 million won ($84,500) to World Vision’s Global Food Crisis Response Project to help children in poor countries who face food shortages due to rapid climate change. Additionally, he supported emergency relief efforts for the Turkey-Syria earthquake in February 2023.

Lee Know has a long-standing commitment to child sponsorship through World Vision, establishing connections with four children domestically and internationally since 2014. Beyond that, he actively supports domestic projects focusing on helping marginalized communities.

Lee Know said, “I’m humbled if my actions can offer even a bit of support to children in need, both here and abroad. I remain introspective, seeking ways to utilize my platform and continue giving back the love I’ve received.”

World Vision Chairman Cho Myung Hwan praised Lee Know as a young leader for consistently supporting vulnerable children. World Vision pledges to amplify Lee Know’s positive impact as he becomes the youngest member of the honor club.

Last October, Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han, and Seungmin partnered with World Vision’s Dream Support Project called “Dreaming Children” to participate in DREAM DAY. During this event, they met and mentored 16 aspiring singers. The Stray Kids members shared their experiences, offered advice, and even provided dance lessons, aiming to support these teenagers’ dreams.
