On April 1st (Korean time), Kim smoked a three-run home run against the San Francisco Giants during a Major League Baseball regular-season game in the bottom of the second inning at Petco Park in San Diego on Sunday.

In the bottom of the second inning, with the Padres leading 6-0 and two outs with runners on first and third, Kim sent a first-pitch shot off  San Francisco starter Daulton Jefferies clear the left field wall. The ball left Kim’s bat at 99 mph and traveled 358 feet.

Ha-Seong Kim hit his first home run of the season in his sixth game. He has gone deep for the first time this season, and this is his 37th career home run in the MLB.

After not having much success in the two opening games against the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 20th and 21st, Kim hit a season-opening home run in the final game of the four-game series against San Francisco.

Having watched his close junior, Lee Jung-hoo (San Francisco), blasted his first career big league home run (March 31st), Kim responded with a home run that seemed almost too good to be true.
