Meet JYP’s Latest Sensation: NEXZ Debuts with Electrifying Single

joynews24 Views

JYP Entertainment’s (hereafter referred to as JYP) rookie boy group NEXZ has released behind-the-scenes cuts from their debut music video for “Ride the Vibe.”

NEXZ, the boy group introduced by JYP about six years after “the hottest K-pop group” Stray Kids, debuted on May 20th with the release of their first single album, Ride the Vibe, and its title track of the same name.

NEXZ made a dazzling debut in their first week, appearing on various music shows such as Mnet’s M Countdown on May 23, KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on May 24, and MBC’s Show! Music Core on May 25, and SBS’s Inkigayo on May 26, showcasing their potential as the next generation’s go-to group for stage performances. Fans in South Korea and abroad who watched their performances praised them, saying, “They must have been nervous, but despite it being their first debut stage, their freshness and composure were felt simultaneously. I look forward to seeing how much they will grow,” and “It was a stage that clearly showed NEXZ’s energy. The new song felt fresh, and the powerful performance was overwhelming.”

On the morning of May 28, JYP added to the excitement by releasing behind-the-scenes images from NEXZ’s debut music video “Ride the Vibe.” Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Yuki, captured on the set of the “Ride the Vibe” music video, exuded a professional aura as they immersed themselves in the shoot. Their refreshing charm that embraced the seasons amplified the group’s “hip and young” energy. The music video, which captures the fiery youth and innocence of the seven members and features energetic performances unfolding in various parts of the city, has stimulated repeat views and surpassed 16.06 million views on YouTube as of the morning of May 28.

With their bold ambition to “lead the new generation and the future,” NEXZ is expected to captivate worldwide fans and continue their powerful strides in Korea and Japan.
