Daniel Kim Views

According to reports on May 29, ILLIT’s first mini album title track, “Magnetic,” ranked #11 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart and #24 on the Global 200 chart for June 1, making it nine consecutive weeks on the charts.

The two Billboard charts rank songs based on online streaming and digital sales (downloads) collected from over 200 countries/regions worldwide. The US Billboard chart is considered one of the global popularity indicators reflecting the current trends in pop music.

In addition to ILLIT’s chart-ins, their first mini album, SUPER REAL ME, ranked #7 on the World Album chart and #27 on the Emerging Artist chart.

ILLIT is also making waves on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, with “Magnetic” ranking #44 on the Weekly Top Song Global (for the week of May 17-23), making it nine consecutive weeks on the chart and exceeding 200 million streams (as of May 22). This achievement was reached 56 days after the song’s release, marking the shortest time for a K-pop debut song to achieve this streaming count.

ILLIT’s presence also shines on Korean music charts. “Magnetic” maintained the top spot on the Circle Char Global K-pop section for eight consecutive weeks and consistently ranked #4 on Melon and Genie’s latest weekly charts (May 20-26).

Debuted on March 25, ILLIT entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #91 with “Magnetic” (as of April 20), the first achievement for a K-pop debut song. They also set the record for a K-pop artist’s fastest entry onto this chart.
