Aespa is achieving career highs with the comeback of their first studio album Armageddon.
With their double title track “Supernova,” Aespa has topped the global K-pop, digital, and streaming charts, and ranked first on the Social Chart 2.0 in the Circle Weekly Chart from May 19-25. They continue to dominate the major Korean music charts, demonstrating their powerful impact and achieving a perfect chart sweep.
Setting a new personal record and proving their global popularity, Aespa’s “Supernova” recently climbed to #7 and #19 on Billboard’s Global (Excl. U.S.) and Global 200 charts respectively.
With the release of their first studio album, Armageddon, on May 27, Aespa not only topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 25 regions worldwide and the Worldwide iTunes Album chart but also dominated various global charts. Their achievements include topping Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart, QQ Music’s digital album sales chart, and the overall Korean music video charts. Additionally, they secured all top 10 spots on the trending charts, topped the Bilibili popular video chart, and led the Japanese AWA real-time trending chart.
Successfully launching their first studio album with “Supernova,” Aespa will appear on various broadcast performances to perform their first album title track “Armageddon” including Mnet’s M Countdown airing on May 30 (KST), KBS2‘s Music Bank on May 31, and MBC’s Show! Music Core on June 1.
“Armageddon” is a hip-hop song with a heavy sound and a rough, yet controlled tone. The lyrics contain the narrative of the second iteration of Aespa’s worldview, meeting different iterations of themselves in another universe and being reborn as a completely new person, sharing the message that “only I can define myself.” The performance is choreographed with memorable, addicting, and hot dance moves with a groove that only Aespa can express.
