China’s Xiaomi EV Shatters Expectations with Record-Breaking 20,000 Deliveries!

globalautonews Views

China’s Xiaomi EV announced on Weibo that the cumulative number of deliveries of its first model, the SU7, exceeded 20,000 units on June 13. The number of units delivered in June is expected to exceed 10,000. Xiaomi EV expects to deliver 120,000 units of SU7 in 2024.

Xiaomi launched its first electric vehicle, the SU7, on March 28. The SU7 lineup has three variations: Standard, Pro, and Max. The starting prices are around $30,000, $34,000, and $41,500, respectively.

Delivery for the standard and max versions of SU7 began on April 3 and for the Pro in May. It was announced that the 10,000th vehicle was delivered on May 15. Customers who order the Xiaomi SU7 must wait approximately 30 to 35 weeks for delivery.

Meanwhile, controversy is being raised in Chinese media and social media about Xiaomi’s declining sales. In response, it was revealed that the current number of fixed orders for Xiaomi EVs is steadily increasing daily. Xiaomi EV added that second-shift production began in June, and based on current delivery figures, more than 10,000 units will be delivered within this month.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 2 that it had delivered 8,646 units in May, for a cumulative total of 15,764 units.
