A 26-year-old Hollywood actor, Jacob Elordi, is reportedly suffering from the spread of deepfake pornographic videos, according to NBC News.

Yonhap News

According to the report, a deepfake video featuring a manipulated image of Elordi has been spreading on X (formerly Twitter) since June 17, accumulating over 3 million views.

The now-19-year-old, who lives in Brazil, identified himself in the footage and described it as creepy, stating that it was recorded when he was a minor. He is now requesting that the video be removed.

NBC stated that the deepfake video contains explicit sexual scenes, and the body revealed in the video is distinctly different from him. Elordi’s representatives have yet to respond to requests for comment.

Until now, deepfake videos with sexual content have mainly targeted female celebrities. In January, a deepfake video featuring pop star Taylor Swift’s face image spread, causing a severe issue.

NBC noted that, similar to Swift’s deepfake video, Elordi’s deepfake video is primarily spreading on X. One of the 16 X posts containing the video is tagged with “This post may violate X’s rules.” While it cannot be linked or shared externally, it is still posted and has recorded 23,000 views, according to NBC.

A deepfake is a synthetic media created using AI technology, combining the terms deep learning and fake. It refers to fake images, audio, or videos produced using this technology.

Elordi, a rising youth star, has starred in numerous movies and dramas, including Euphoria, The Kissing Booth, Saltburn, and Priscilla.
