Daniel Kim Views

At least seven people were killed in a Russian Airstrike in Zaporizhzia, Ukraine, on June 29.

According to Ukrainian authorities, a Russian missile fell on the village of Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia on Saturday, killing seven people, including two children, and injuring 18 people, including four children.

Reports share that two missiles damaged residential buildings, shops, and infrastructure.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, condemned a recent attack, describing it as an act of terror against civilians. He stated that the incident occurred downtown, where no military targets and people were relaxing for the weekend.

Local authorities additionally reported four people were killed in the villages of Zarichne and Novooleksandrivka in the Donetsk region due to Russian military attacks.

On the night of June 28, a missile attack killed one person and injured 12, including a seventh-month-old girl in an apartment in Dnipro.

“Every day and night, the city is subjected to heinous Russian attacks.” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in a Telegram message about the Zaporizhzhia airstrike.

He further stated that the method to overcome the situation involves targeting the locations of Russian terrorists, destroying Russian missile launch pads, striking with actual long-range missiles, and enhancing the deployment of modern air defense systems in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also urged the West for more assistance with a swift supply of weapons, emphasizing that delays in decisions lose more lives.
