Viewers Shocked as Dancer Suffers X-Rated Wardrobe Malfunction at the Olympics Opening Ceremony

inews24 Views

There has been criticism that a male dancer exposed his genitals during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Still, it has been claimed that this was an optical illusion caused by a tear in his stockings.

X Capture

On July 30, British media outlet Metro reported, it reported, “The exposed part is not the genitals but the thigh shown through the torn stockings.”

They explained that the hole in the dancer’s stockings grew larger as the performance progressed, tearing horizontally.

French public broadcaster France 24 also stated, “Germain Louvet is suspected of intentionally exposing his genitals during the opening ceremony,” but clarified, “What is actually visible is the skin of his thigh.”

During the Olympics’ opening ceremony, French actor and singer Philippe Katerine took the stage painted blue, performing a song and portraying himself as Dionysos, the god of pleasure. Dancers accompanied him on stage. However, online discussions began when part of a male dancer’s genitalia became visible through his pants during the performance.

Italian sports journalist Tancredi Palmeri posted the controversial scene on his X, sarcastically commenting, “And amongst the records broke by Paris2024 OpeningCeremony goes also the first scrotum ever showed at #Olympics.”

Meanwhile, the dancer, who was misunderstood to have exposed his genitals, is reportedly Germain Louvet. He is a principal dancer (étoile) at the Paris Opera Ballet.
