Deion Sanders, who played in the MLB and the NFL in the 1990s, made headlines in the United States by commenting on Ohtani Shohei of the Dodgers. He praised Ohtani by saying, “Ohtani, he’s incredible, man.” “I mean you can compare him to the Jordans and the Tom Bradys of the world. That’s who he is. He’s doing things that we haven’t fathomed.”

According to Yahoo Sports, Sanders, the head coach at the prestigious University of Colorado, received questions about Ohtani during a press conference. He expressed his admiration by mentioning NBA superstar Michael Jordan and legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who has won three season MVPs and seven Super Bowls. He stated that Ohtani is doing things that we cannot comprehend.

Brady congratulated Ohtani on achieving the 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases milestone the day after it happened through a video message on MLB’s official X: “Shohei, congratulations! The first ever to be in the 50/50 club. What an accomplishment. But I know you got bigger goals ahead, so good luck in the postseason.”

Sanders played nine seasons as an outfielder in the MLB with teams like the Yankees and Braves and spent 14 seasons in the NFL, winning the Super Bowl twice. He is the only player to have competed in both the World Series and the Super Bowl, earning him the original dual-sport athlete nickname.
