Barron Trump, the youngest son of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, is drawing attention amid speculation of a 2044 presidential bid.
On Sunday, Sky News reported that supporters of President-elect Trump view 18-year-old Barron Trump as the next figure to continue the Trump family legacy. Online stores reportedly sell memorabilia with slogans like President Barron Trump 2044.
Trump supporters, especially MAGA followers, are reportedly fond of Barron, noting his resemblance to his father.
The media highlighted that Barron, who stands an impressive 2.01m tall (6 feet 7 inches), engaged young voters during the election and earned President-elect Trump’s admiration.
In this year’s U.S. election, 56% of male voters aged 18 to 28 cast their ballots for Trump, a significant increase from 41% in 2020.
Barron Trump also gained attention for meeting popular YouTube podcasters like Theo Von and Joe Rogan, facilitated by his close friend’s parents, engaging in extended conversations that ultimately led to Trump’s guest appearances on their shows.
The episode of Theo Von’s podcast featuring Trump garnered 15 million views, while Joe Rogan’s podcast reached 50 million views—far surpassing the viewership of presidential debates or party convention speeches.
This fall, Barron began his studies at New York University and cast his first vote in the presidential election.
He is known for his extensive knowledge of cryptocurrency and participated in launching the digital currency World Liberty Financial alongside his father and half-brothers. He is also fluent in Slovenian, his mother’s native language, and, according to President-elect Trump, can also speak Chinese.
Last summer, Barron was invited to speak at the Republican National Convention but declined following advice from his mother, Melania.
Making rare appearances on the campaign trail this year, Barron attracted enough attention that President-elect Donald Trump reportedly joked about him being a competitor to his other two sons.
To qualify for a U.S. presidential run, a candidate must be born in the United States, have lived there for at least 14 years, and be at least 35 years old.
