BTS member J-Hope, from Gwangju, South Korea, has donated in response to the tragic Jeju Air incident at Muan International Airport, located not far from his hometown.

On Friday, the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a group of high-value donors, confirmed that J-Hope donated 100 million won (approximately $68,183) to support the victims’ families.

“I was deeply moved by the news of the tragedy and wanted to help the victims’ families,” J-Hope said. “I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families, as well as to everyone affected by this incident.”

As a Hope Bridge Honors Club member, J-Hope has consistently supported national disaster relief efforts. He has also shown particular concern for his hometown region, which included Gwangju and the South Jeolla Province, where most of the victims of this tragedy were from.

In related news, J-Hope completed his mandatory military service on October 17, 2024, at the 36th Infantry Division Baekho Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon Province. Following Jin, he is the second BTS member to fulfill his military duty.
