Raise a Glass: Zest Named Best Bar in Korea at Asia’s 50 Best Awards!

Seoul’s vibrant cocktail scene has once again garnered international acclaim at the unveiling of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 on July 15 in Macau. Four bars from the South Korean capital made it onto the prestigious list, with two securing spots in the coveted top 10.

Leading the pack from Seoul was Zest, which climbed to an impressive No. 2 spot and clinched the title of Best Bar in Korea, sponsored by Tia Maria. This trendsetting establishment has made waves with its innovative techniques and commitment to sustainability.
Bar Cham, nestled in the charming Seochon neighborhood, secured the No. 6 position. It’s become a hotspot for cocktail enthusiasts, thanks to its focus on locally sourced ingredients and ever-changing seasonal menu.Alice, a whimsical Alice in Wonderland-inspired speakeasy tucked away in Cheongdam-dong, made a jaw-dropping leap of 33 places to land at No. 13. This impressive climb earned them the Nikka Highest Climber Award.

Rounding out Seoul’s stellar showing was Le Chamber, a long-time favorite among cocktail connoisseurs. Known for its hidden entrance and luxe ambiance, this Cheongdam-dong gem secured the No. 50 spot.

The glitzy awards ceremony, held in Macau, celebrated the crème de la crème of Asia’s bar scene, showcasing the most innovative and inspiring watering holes across the continent.

For the second year running, Bar Leone in Hong Kong clinched the top spot as The Best Bar in Asia. Owned by mixology maestro Lorenzo Antinori, this hotspot offers a curated menu of reimagined classic cocktails while staying true to its local roots.

Other standout performers included Singapore’s Jigger & Pony, which nabbed the No. 3 spot and was crowned The Best Bar in Singapore.
