North Korean Delegation Emphasizes Cooperation in Vietnam Visit

The Workers’ Party delegation, led by Kim Song Nam, director of the Workers’ Party’s international department, landed in Hanoi for their visit to Vietnam.

The Rodong Sinmun reported on the 27th that “the Vice Chairman of the Communist Party Vietnam’s Commission for External Relations and the acting charge d’affaires of North Korea to Vietnam greeted them at the airport.”

It was reported that Kim Song Nam and Le Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Commission for External Relations, held a meeting in Hanoi that day.

During the meeting, Kim emphasized the importance of fully implementing the agreements between the two countries’ leaders to develop friendly and cooperative relations, mentioning the party’s policies towards the United States and its adversarial stance.

Le Hoai Trung expressed his position on developing the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and North Korea, stating that the relationship between the two parties and countries is based on a solid foundation of socialist ideals.

According to Rodong Sinmun, the talks discussed issues to enhance cooperation in various fields and to closely support each other on the international stage to elevate bilateral relations to the next level, achieving a consensus on these matters.

Before arriving in Vietnam, the Workers’ Party delegation concluded their visit to China on the 25th, departing from Chengdu.

During their stay, the delegation visited several places in Beijing and Sichuan Province, including the Museum of the Communist Party of China and the Journal of Resources and Ecology Agricultural Technology Institute.

Kim Song Nam consecutively met with senior Chinese officials to discuss the development of bilateral relations and cooperation strategies on the international stage.

On the 26th, Yun Jong Ho, the External Economic Relations Minister of North Korea, departed from Pyongyang to visit Russia, as reported by the Rodong Sinmun on the 27th.

At Pyongyang International Airport, Yun was seen off by Ji Kyong Su, Vice Minister of External Economic Relations, and Alexander Matsegora, the Russian ambassador to North Korea.
