The Korean Central News Agency reported that the family of animals at the Pyongyang Central Zoo continues to grow.

On the 10th, the agency said, “Just this year, many animals, including the cockatoo and Shih Tzu, which were gifted animals, have bred and are adding to the joy of visitors to the Pyongyang Central Zoo.”

A cockatoo gave birth in January, and a pet, Shih Tzu, gave birth to two male pups in March.

The new family includes a cub from a gifted animal cat-monkey, a Korean leopard, and a half-moon bear.

The agency added that more than 200 cubs have been born to more than 60 species of animals at the Pyongyang Central Zoo so far this year.
