A heartwarming story about triplet sisters from China has recently captured widespread attention.

According to HK01, triplets Hong Yiran, Hong Qiran, and Hong Shengran from Nanan City in Fujian Province have all been accepted into Fuzhou University.

Their mother chose names that phonetically resemble the Chinese phrase “born together, win together” (一起勝), which aligns with their shared achievements.

The sisters attended the same elementary, middle, and high schools, sharing hobbies and interests such as drawing and writing as they grew up. The eldest sister, Yiran, explained, “We competed academically, learned from each other, and grew together.”

Though their college entrance exam scores weren’t identical, they initially applied to different universities in and around Fujian Province. By coincidence, they all received acceptance letters from Fuzhou University. However, they chose majors in Information Systems, International Economic Trade, and Mineral Processing Engineering.

In recognition of their achievements, a local education foundation awarded each of them a scholarship of 10,000 yuan (about $1,388).
