The North Korean Foreign Ministry has strongly criticized the reckless military actions related to ongoing terrorist incidents in Syria. They also denounced the ulterior motives of forces supporting and encouraging these actions.

On Thursday, a spokesperson for the North Korean Foreign Ministry responded to a question from a Korean Central News Agency reporter, stating, “The sudden terrorist attacks on various regions, destroying peaceful cities and towns and massacring innocent civilians, constitute extreme crimes against humanity.”

The spokesperson further argued that these events were a result of a vile plot by hostile forces. “They aim to recreate the mass slaughter scenario previously carried out in Gaza and Lebanon, pushing the Middle East into an ongoing state of crisis,” they asserted.

The spokesperson reaffirmed North Korea’s stance, “We express our full support and solidarity with the Syrian government and people in their righteous struggle, as well as with the efforts of Arab nations to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.”

Syria is once again becoming a battleground for global and regional powers. The civil war has intensified with a fierce rebel counteroffensive, leading to sharply diverging interests among involved parties.
