On Tuesday, North Korea’s Musan Mining Complex, the country’s largest open-pit iron ore mine, conducted a large-scale blasting operation involving 650,000 m³.

Rodong Sinmun reported on Wednesday that “the Musan Mining Complex conducted the 650,000 m³ blasting operation following four previous large-scale blasting operations of 500,000 m³ each last year. This latest effort has laid another foundation for achieving innovations in iron ore production.”

Iron ore produced at the Musan Mining Complex is transported to the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex facilities through conveyor systems and other transport networks.
