Tesla Launches Exclusive 2-Seater Model Y in France

globalautonews Views

Tesla launched a new 2-seater Model Y in France on March 5, 2024. According to Tesla insiders, the new model has a storage capacity of 76.2 cubic feet ( about 2,158 liters ), offers a range of up to 351 miles (about 565 km) (WLTP cycle), and was launched as a vehicle for business that can be classified as a commercial van.

As those who would like to purchase the vehicle have to directly contact the company, the price of the new Tesla model was not disclosed right away. It’s also currently available in France only, and it’s unclear if and when there are plans to expand the program.

Most vehicles in France are subject to a 20% tax. Those with only two or three-seat vehicles for business aren’t subjected to the same tax rate. There are currently approximately 6.3 million commercial vans registered in the U.S. This allows Tesla to target that market with this new version of the Model Y as most vehicles use diesel.

Tesla is introducing the new two-seater Model Y by visiting dealer stores across France.
