Elon Musk’s Vision Comes Alive: Optimus Robots to Hit the Market Next Year

globalautonews Views

Tesla has announced two Optimus humanoid robots operating autonomously in one of its factories. This was revealed through Tesla’s Twitter account, X. The intention can be inferred from the announcement made on June 12, 2024, a day before the annual general shareholders’ meeting. The statement that much has been achieved under Elon Musk’s leadership since 2018 expresses the intention.

Tesla has been releasing much information and videos about Optimus lately. However, the last report showed that the company was still training the bots using virtual reality and remote control. In other words, it is a complex coding method based on human input.

But now Tesla claims that the robots operate autonomously in a factory, which would be a significant step. Tesla had initially stated that it was being developed to be operational by the end of 2024.

Also, he recently said that Tesla Optimus might go on sale next year.

Musk previously said that he expects Optimus to cost “less than half the price of a car”—so it would be closer to $25,000.

Attention is being paid to how analysts who call for Tesla to focus on its business, which can immediately guarantee profits for shareholders, rather than on artificial intelligence or robots, will respond.
