2025 Prius: Introducing the New Nightshade Trim

One of the most notable updates to the 2025 Prius is the introduction of the Nightshade trim, which gives the model a striking new look. Based on the XLE trim, the Nightshade version features several bold exterior elements that are finished in black.

Following the design language seen in Toyota’s other Nightshade models, the blacked-out elements include 19-inch aluminum wheels, a shark fin antenna, front door handles, and bumper trim. These upgrades give the Prius a more luxurious yet strong and dynamic presence, appealing to consumers seeking both elegance and edge.

New Color Options and Enhanced Powertrain

The Nightshade trim also introduces a new color option, Karashi, which is exclusive to this version. This option further elevates the Prius’ unique appeal. The standard Prius will also offer Midnight Black Metallic and Windchill Pearl as optional color choices.

Under the hood, the 2025 Prius has the 5th generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5) and a 2.0L gasoline engine. The front-wheel-drive model delivers 194 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive version offers a slight bump to 196 horsepower. This powertrain balances performance and fuel efficiency, maintaining the Prius’ reputation as an eco-friendly powerhouse.
