McLaren Automotive has introduced the MCL38 Celebration Edition, a highly exclusive model commemorating its ninth Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship title. Only 18 units will be produced, with 9 Artura and 9 750S models.

McLaren secured the championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final race of last season. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri drove the McLaren MCL38 to 8 pole positions and 6 Grand Prix victories, leading the team to its first championship in 26 years since 1998.

The MCL38 Celebration Edition pays tribute to the 2024 title-winning MCL38. The Artura and 750S feature custom liveries designed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The signature Papaya Orange and Anthracite colors are combined with a dynamic Chevron pattern, emphasizing McLaren’s motorsport heritage.

Each model bears a laurel wreath symbolizing the championship and a ‘Nine-Star’ logo representing McLaren’s ninth title. Orange accents on the hood stripes and brake calipers enhance the exclusivity of these vehicles.

The MCL38 Celebration Edition showcases a distinctive interior with exclusive design details. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri sign the driver’s side carbon fiber sill cover, while the seat headrests are engraved with a champion’s laurel wreath.

Each vehicle includes a dedication plaque incorporating carbon fiber from the MCL38 F1 race car. Another plaque lists the MCL38’s pole positions, victories, and lap records, enhancing the collectability of this limited edition.

Celebrating McLaren’s Relentless Pursuit of Excellence

Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, said that the relentless pursuit of excellence is intrinsic to the McLaren mindset. In 2024, the company demonstrated this with remarkable success on both the track and the road. He added that there was no better way to celebrate the McLaren Racing team’s achievements than with the MCL38 Celebration Edition, inspired by the Artura and 750S. He stated that the limited run of 9 Artura and 9 750S models would serve as a tribute to the Constructors’ Championship victory while offering an exhilarating driving experience worthy of McLaren’s world-class supercars.
