Honda is reportedly developing a successor to its iconic NSX supercar. The new model could launch as early as 2027 and compete with Lexus’s upcoming LFR supercar.

The NSX, initially introduced in 1990, was revived as a hybrid model in 2016 before being discontinued in 2022. The successor currently in development is expected to be a fully electric vehicle featuring solid-state battery technology. Industry sources estimate that the new NSX will produce over 1,000 horsepower and offer a range of approximately 700 km (435 miles) on a single charge. The advanced all-wheel-drive system is expected to enhance performance.

Sources suggest that the new NSX will be larger than its predecessor, with anticipated dimensions of 4,530 mm (178.3 inches) in length, 1,960 mm (77.2 inches) in width, and 1,215 mm (47.8 inches) in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,640 mm (103.9 inches).

The new NSX is expected to be priced at approximately 30 million yen (approximately $197,100) in the Japanese market.
