It seems that the café office tribe is evolving in bizarre ways. On the 19th, a photo of a customer with a laptop and a large monitor set up on a Starbucks table was shared on the internet community site.

The customer in the photo is occupying two tables, setting up a laptop on a stand on the left table and a large monitor on the right table for his computer work. Considering the monitor’s weight, it’s not an easy feat for the average person to replicate.

The netizen who posted the unbelievable photo mentioned, “I doubted my eyes when I came to Starbucks,” and asked Instiz members whether Starbucks should limit this kind of behavior or if it was an overstep.

Starbucks reportedly does not specifically sanction customers from setting up a large monitor on a table for computer work. However, some netizens pointed out that occupying two tables inconveniences others.

Meanwhile, in August of last year, a photo of a man working on a computer with a dual monitor set up on a Starbucks table was shared on the internet community MLB Park. The shared photo showed a man sitting at a window of a café with a Starbucks logo, with a large monitor open alongside his laptop.

The post’s author commented, “He brought a monitor from his office and set it up on a stand, placing his laptop on the right for dual monitor work. I was astonished that he even ordered just a cup of americano.”
