Can Being ‘Ugly’ Be a Blessing? Viral Clip Everyone’s Talking About

inews24 Views

A TikToker has gained attention with a video in which they assert that there are benefits to being unattractive.

TikTok

With 15,000 followers on her social media platform, Sarah announced that she would explain the perks and advantages of being unattractive as she shared her video.

Sarah explained in a now-viral video posted this week, ‘When I say I have ‘ugly privilege,’ it’s not that I necessarily think I’m an ugly person.’

“What I mean by that is men, in general, don’t find me attractive. For the most part, men think I’m ugly, and they leave me alone, and to me, that’s a privilege,” she said.

Sarah continued by explaining that after having two kids, she gained a lot of weight, which resulted in men not following her in parking lots or harassing her. She noted that not being approached by men due to her appearance has spared her from uncomfortable situations. She added that she has desired this lifestyle for a long time, so she hasn’t pursued weight loss.

Most viewers who watched the video responded positively to Sarah’s statement. One commenter mentioned, “I appreciate that men don’t approach me since I gained weight,” while another noted, “It’s reassuring not to be approached solely based on appearance.”

However, some viewers criticized Sarah, suggesting, “It just seems like an excuse to avoid weight loss.” The video surpassed 800,000 views approximately one week after being uploaded.
