‘The Little Mermaid’ Halle Bailey Finally Reveals That She Was Pregnant After All

Hollywood actress Halle Bailey (23) has recently given birth and comments made in the past by her boyfriend and the baby’s father, DDG (26), are being revisited.

According to ‘Page Six’ on January 8 (local time), Bailey has given birth to her first son. The exact birth date has not been released but it is believed to have been in late December last year. Amid this news, a post from April last year by Bailey’s boyfriend and singer DDG is drawing attention.

On April 1st of last year, DDG posted an ultrasound image of the fetus on social media, writing, “I want to become a dad soon.” At the time, fans thought DDG was lying due to the post being on April Fool’s Day, but it was later revealed to be a genuine picture of his child.

Bailey also remained silent without making any public comment amid numerous pregnancy rumors. At last year’s MTV Music Awards, she was engulfed in speculation about hiding her pregnancy by wearing a dress that covered her belly. Particularly in November, she warned those who criticized her “pregnancy nose,” stating, “If I see one more person making a fuss about my nose, they will pay a hellish price.”

However, on January 7, Bailey announced the birth news herself through social media. She expressed her love by posting a picture of the newborn and writing, “It’s only been a few days into the new year, but the biggest thing for me in 2023 was bringing my son into the world. Welcome to the world. My light. The world wants to know you.” DDG also shared his love on the same day, writing, “My biggest blessing. Son… I’ve never been so in love. My light.”

Meanwhile, Bailey and DDG have not yet made an official marriage announcement. Hollywood has been taken by surprise by the birth announcement following their denial of rumors. Bailey, known for her role in ‘The Little Mermaid,’ faced controversy over “black casting” and a loss of 200 billion won ($169 million), adding to the disappointment of the film’s ultimate box office failure.
