tvreport Views

Lotte Cinema is hosting a special exhibition featuring actor Timothée Chalamet.

Lotte Cinema announced that it will screen two movies featuring Timothée Chalamet from the 17th to the 23rd of this month. The first is “Call Me By Your Name”, a movie that sparked discussion even before its release by winning 70 awards at film festivals worldwide and receiving 203 nominations. The film tells the story of a six-week romance between a 17-year-old boy named Elio (Timothée Chalamet) and a 24-year-old guest named Oliver (Armie Hammer), who visits as his father’s assistant one summer day. The film, which has received rave reviews from audiences and set numerous records, has formed a spontaneous fandom and catapulted Timothée Chalamet to stardom.

The second film is a modern reinterpretation of a world-renowned classic, “Little Women”, a drama about the love and growth of four sisters and a boy next door. Directed by Greta Gerwig, who swept all major film festivals worldwide with “Lady Bird”, and featuring a cast of leading Hollywood actors, the film was selected as one of the top 10 films of the year by Time magazine at its release and received a fresh rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, earning rave reviews from major overseas media.

The special exhibition featuring Hollywood’s rising star Timothée Chalamet will be screened at 30 locations including Lotte Cinema World Tower and Konkuk University Entrance. The screening fee for the films selected by Lotte Cinema’s Lotte Picks is set at 10,000 won ($8.50) for adults and 7,000 won ($6) for teenagers. In addition, a limited-edition special art card featuring posters and still images from the films will be provided to audiences so they can fully experience the emotions of the films. Detailed information about the special exhibition can be found on the Lotte Cinema website and application.

Kim Se-hwan, team leader of Lotte Cultureworks Xcon Team, said, “We have prepared a special exhibition where you can see the performances of Timothée Chalamet, the star of the highly anticipated film ‘Wonka’, which will be released on the 31st,” and added, “We plan to continue to present a variety of works to audiences through Lotte Picks, so please look forward to it.”
