NewJeans has set a record for the longest-charting K-pop girl group on the U.S. Billboard Main Album Chart.

According to the latest U.S. Billboard chart released on the 23rd (local time), NewJeans’ (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein) second EP, *Get Up*, ranked 197th on the “Billboard 200.” This album entered the “Billboard 200” at number one on August 5th last year and has been on the chart for 26 consecutive weeks.

With this, NewJeans has demonstrated its unrivaled global popularity by setting a record for the longest-charting K-pop girl group and continually breaking the record for the longest-charting 4th generation K-pop group on this chart in just 18 months after their debut.

“Super Shy,” the lead single of its album *Get Up*, has been continuously successful on the global charts. This song ranked 79th on the “Global (excluding U.S.)” chart and 121st on the “Global 200” chart, maintaining its position in the rankings for 28 consecutive weeks. “ETA,” another lead single from the same album, ranked 154th on the “Global (excluding U.S.)” chart.

Earlier works by NewJeans are also well-loved and trending on the charts. Their greatest hit single in 2023, “Ditto”, ranked 184th on the “Global 200” and at 94th place on the “Global (excluding U.S.),” charting for a total of 57 weeks. “OMG” ranked 93rd and 179th on the “Global (excluding U.S.)” and “Global 200” charts, respectively.

Their nomination at the iHeartRadio Music Awards this year, which follows their nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) and the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) last year, further demonstrates their growing international prominence. Meanwhile, NewJeans has been nominated for two categories, “K-pop Song of the Year” and “Best New Artist (K-Pop)” at the “2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards,” which will take place on April 1st in the United States. Their nomination for the “iHeartRadio Music Awards” this year, following their nominations at the “MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA)” and “Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs)” last year, further demonstrates their rising global prominence.
