Sakura, a member of the group LE SSERAFIM, expressed her feelings regarding their Coachella performance, subtly addressing any previous controversies about their live skills by stating, “It was the best performance we’ve ever given.”

On the 15th, Sakura took to the fan community Weverse to share her experience of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held in the U.S. on the 13th (local time), posting a message in Japanese.

Sakura reflected, “From the preparation for Coachella to the day of the performance, I learned so much. What does it mean to be on stage? Should we show a perfect performance, make the audience happy, or deliver a flawless performance without any mistakes?”

She continued, “Each person holds unique standards. My goal was to craft a performance that would leave both unfamiliar spectators and our loyal listeners alike thinking, ‘Today was unforgettable; it was a blast.'”

Expanding on that sentiment, she remarked, “With that mindset, I’m certain we delivered our finest performance. Despite being a band for less than two years and having toured only once, we approached the Coachella stage with unwavering confidence and joy. That alone made it a day where we truly embodied the essence of LE SSERAFIM.”

Sakura emphasized, “I sincerely worked hard for this stage and showed everything on the performance day. Some might say it was immature, but I am proud that it was the best stage we’ve ever shown.”

She also conveyed, “I earnestly wish for our team to evolve and feel motivated to push ourselves further. I believe there’s value in comparing our current selves to our past selves rather than to others. Despite life’s challenges, I hope everyone discovers their genuine passions and focuses solely on the positive aspects they cherish.”

Sakura also opened up about the overwhelming emotions she experienced post-Coachella performance. “As I roamed the Coachella square today, hearing people say ‘Your performance was the best’ was profoundly moving,” she shared. She emphasized the significance of creating a delightful atmosphere where the audience enjoyed and sang along to the songs until the very end, labeling it as her most cherished memory.

“Regardless of others’ opinions about Coachella, I trust my feelings. This belief has carried us this far,” Sakura asserted. “I won’t let you down and will persist in believing in myself.” She expressed her gratitude to her fans, acknowledging, “Thanks to your support, I was able to approach it confidently. Thank you.” With these words, she concluded her post.

Sakura’s group, LE SSERAFIM, delivered a set of around ten songs lasting approximately 40 minutes on the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival stage on the 13th (local time). Despite previous critiques regarding their live performance abilities, they are slated to grace the Coachella stage once more on the 20th.
