BABYMONSTER Breaks Records on Spotify

joynews24 Views

YG’s BABYMONSTER achieved their second 100 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform.

According to YG Entertainment on May 28, BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH” surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. This is a significant achievement as it’s only been two months since its release on April 1st, moving up much faster than their pre-debut song “BATTER UP,” which took five months.

The success is due to the consistent positive response from music fans. “SHEESH” has succeeded in charting for 56 consecutive days and seven consecutive weeks on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global Chart and Weekly Top Songs Global Chart, respectively. The number of monthly listeners is nearing 10 million.

The song is also making its presence felt on other charts. “SHEESH” entered the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S) and Billboard Global 200 charts at #35 and #87 respectively, and has remained in the charts for seven consecutive weeks. The music video surpassed 200 million views on YouTube just 33 days after its release.

BABYMONSTER is conducting their first fan meeting tour, BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE, spanning seven sessions in five cities. Additionally, they will release the performance video for the track “LIKE THAT,” which was well-received for its different charm compared to the title track, at midnight KST on May 31.
