Snoop Dogg Surprises with Speedy 200m Dash at Olympic Trials

Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg clocked 34.44 seconds in a US Olympic athletic trial for a 200-meter track event.

Snoop Dogg made a guest appearance at the US Olympic athletic trial held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on the 24th. He ran with Ato Boldon, an Olympic medalist from Trinidad and Tobago, and Wallace Spearmon, the NCAA 200-meter champion.

Born in 1971, Snoop Dogg is 52 years old this year. After finishing the race, he said in an interview, “34.44 for a 52-year-old? Ain’t bad.”

He plans to visit the Paris Olympics while hosting with Mike Tirico for NBC. After finishing the match, Snoop Dogg commentated on the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase in the broadcast. NBC praised him through a post on X, saying, “Snoop Dogg commentating the steeplechase is ELECTRIC!”

He posted on X, saying, “This weekend was fun, much respect to world-class athletes. See you in Paris.” Snoop Dogg’s real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., and he has sold 35 million albums worldwide.

His rap career started after he was discovered by Dr. Dre, a member of the rap group N.W.A. He became successful with his debut album, Doggystyle, which Dre produced in 1993 and topped the Billboard charts. Since then, he has been actively working as an artist and producer.
