A tantalizing post-credits scene capped off Episode 7 of Squid Game Season 2. In an exclusive interview with Variety on Thursday, creator Hwang Dong Hyuk hinted that this hidden clip gives fans a sneak peek at what’s in store for the highly anticipated third season. Squid Game Season 3 is expected to hit screens in the first half of next year.

While the finale of Squid Game Season 2 has sparked mixed reactions from viewers, the brief three-second teaser at the end has really got people talking. Sharp-eyed fans spotted Young Hee, the creepy doll from the iconic Red Light, Green Light game, alongside a new character, Cheol Su. The clip also gave a quick glimpse of contestants No. 353 and No. 96, who had last seen teaming up with player 100 (played by Song Young Chang). Hwang teased that this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment may hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of Squid Game Season 3.
