Jung Kook has unveiled a track poster for his title song that encapsulates the aura of a ‘global popstar.’
At midnight on the 17th (Korean time), Jung Kook posted the track poster for the title song, “Standing Next to You,” from his first solo album, GOLDEN, on BTS’s official social media. The track poster features Jung Kook in the spotlight, gazing into the distance. The song’s title is boldly inscribed, giving it the design of a movie poster.
The title song, “Standing Next to You,” is a retro-funk song highlighting Jung Kook’s groovy vocals. Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the producers of Jung Kook’s first solo single, “Seven (Feat. Latto),” released in July, collaborated to produce the new song.
Jung Kook is set to deliver a performance of a lifetime through his new song. In his solo single “Seven,” he stylishly incorporated the early 2000s two-step genre, and in “3D (feat. Jack Harlow),” he brought in an old-school sound based on mid-2000s hip hop and dance, reinterpreted in his own style, revealing his ambition to continue the lineage of dance solo artists. This time, he is determined to reach the pinnacle of ‘complete performance’ and firmly establish himself as a unique dance solo artist.
GOLDEN, released worldwide at 1 p.m. on the 3rd of next month, is an album motivated by the ‘golden moment’ of solo artist Jung Kook. Jung Kook has poured his heart and soul into the album production, personally selecting all the songs in the album and singing all 11 tracks in English.
Meanwhile, Jung Kook will unveil GOLDEN’ THE TRACKS from the 21st to the 30th, and on the 31st, a highlight medley GOLDEN preview, where part of the songs can be heard in advance, will be released. The teaser video for the title song’s music video will be released on November 2nd.
