Private found dead at an Army base; police investigation underway

A soldier in the army was found dead within the unit, prompting a police investigation.

According to the South Jeolla Province Police Agency, on the 25th, a private named A, who had recently transferred to an army unit in South Jeolla Province, was found dead on the 2nd of last month.

No signs of murder have been found, and no notes or letters left by Private A have been discovered.

The police, who took over the case from the military police, are investigating the circumstances of Private A’s death, including any possible acts of cruelty.
