Actor Park Jung-soo’s Apgujeong Rodeo Building
Constructed for Director Jung Eul-young
Currently estimated to be worth about $12.5 million
Actor Park Jung-soo has revealed that he built a building in Apgujeong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for director Jung Eul-young, with whom he has been together for 15 years.
In the episode of Channel A’s Best Friend Talkumentary 4-Person Table, aired on the 30th, Park Jung-soo guests to a 5-story building he owns in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The 5th floor of the building, completed in 2011, housed the studio of Jung Eul-young, Park’s partner for 15 years.
The building is a reconstruction of a basement one-story to a two-story building that Park Jung-soo purchased in 2005. The purchase price at the time was estimated to be about $2 million. After demolishing the original building in 2011, he carried out new construction to become the owner of a building with a basement two stories to a five-story above ground.
It is known that companies have moved into the building from the basement to the 4th floor.
A local real estate agency estimated the value of this building to be about $12.5 million. This figure was calculated based on the land area and examples of nearby buildings. The price has risen about six times compared to the purchase price. However, the agency said, “It’s hard to understand why the first floor, which generates the most rent, was made into a piloti structure that can’t collect rent and used as a parking lot.”
Meanwhile, Park Jung-soo openly admitted to living with Director Jung Eul-young the year after their scandal broke out in 2008. In a media interview, Director Jung said, “We have a good relationship and are a source of strength for each other as close friends.” Park Jung-soo also admitted, “I have no plans to remarry yet, but I do have a boyfriend with whom I am having a good relationship.”
They are currently maintaining a common-law relationship for 15 years. Director Jung is also well-known as the father of actor Jung Kyung-ho.
