Han Hye Jin, Jun Ji Hyun, Song Hye Kyo, and More

Many celebrities known for their stunning looks were famous even before their debut. Especially at the center of the ‘Beauty Syndrome’ that swept the early 2000s, there were celebrities.

They debuted in the entertainment industry after becoming known as beauties. But before they started their activities, some celebrities were known as ‘Gangnam’s Top 5 Beauties’ even before the spread of the internet.

They were popular in the Gangnam area even before their debut, rivaling the popularity of celebrities. Today, we’ll look at their recent activities.

Han Hye Jin

She graduated from Eunkwang Girls’ High School located in Dogok-dong, Gangnam-gu, and is known to be an alumna of actress Song Hye Kyo and Lee Jin.

Han Hye Jin, Song Hye Kyo, and Lee Jin, also known as Eunkwang Girls High School’s Top 3 Beauties, were very popular among male students in the area at the time.

Han Hye Jin’s neat eyebrows and distinct facial features give off an exotic and mysterious vibe.

Even after marrying soccer player Ki Sung Yueng, she has worked in dramas and variety shows. This year, she starred in the JTBC drama Divorce Attorney Shin as Lee Seo-jin and teamed up with actor Jo Seung Woo, and later this year, she hosted three variety shows.

Song Hye Kyo

Actress Song Hye Kyo is arguably the most beautiful woman in Korea. As mentioned earlier, she was famous for her beauty since her school days, being one of Gangnam’s Top 5 Beauties and a beauty of Eunkwang Girls’ High School.

She made her debut by winning the grand prize in a famous school uniform model selection contest when she was in middle school and even filmed a computer commercial with Kim Kook Jin, the most famous comedian at the time.

Then she made her name known by appearing in Soonpoong Clinic and laid the foundation as an actress with Autumn in My Heart. She has consistently shown an excellent image to the public by quietly doing good deeds since her debut.

Meanwhile, in 2022, Song Hye-kyo played the role of Moon Dong-eun in the Netflix original drama The Glory. As The Glory became a global hit, many were astounded by her flawless acting.

Seo Ji Young

The third protagonist is Seo Ji-young, a member of the co-ed group Sharp#. She was a representative idol of the first generation with a charming mask highlighted by her cool lips.

Sharp# disbanded due to a feud between Lee Ji Hye and Seo Ji Young, but it is known that they have reconciled through a broadcast program and are still maintaining their relationship.

Seo Ji Young married a businessman five years her senior in 2011 and has two children.

She is not currently active in the entertainment industry, but she has warmed viewers’ hearts by posting photos of dates with her husband and happy times with her children on Instagram.

Jun Ji Hyun

Jun Ji Hyun’s unreal beauty was perfect from birth. She made her debut as a cover model for the fashion magazine Ecole at the age of 17 in 1997.

During her school days, she was so famous and beautiful that the school office’s mailbox was always full of fan letters for Jun Ji Hyun. Male students flocked to the school gate to get a glimpse of her.

Afterward, she gained tremendous popularity by showing techno dance in a Samsung MyJet printer advertisement. The beauty of Gangnam became a nationwide star, Jun Ji Hyun.

Park Ji Yoon

The last protagonist is Park Ji Yoon, who caused a syndrome in the music industry in the 90s. She debuted with a CF for Haitai Confectionery in 1994 and conquered acting, singing, and variety shows.

She, too, was known as one of the Gangnam’s Top 5 Beauties and was popular in the Gangnam area for her shining beauty even before her debut.

Park Ji Yoon explained her popularity during her school days on a broadcast, saying, “Boys from the next neighborhood would stand in front of the school gate just to see me.”

Park Ji-Yoon said she was often bothered by seniors because she was pretty and was even dragged away, and expressed her grievances that it was annoying when men on the street would talk to her too much.

She is currently active as a singer-songwriter and continues to release music through the podcast B Cast.

Park Ji Yoon met Jo Soo Yong, the co-CEO of Kakao, through B Cast and even scored a goal by getting married in 2019. Currently, the couple reportedly has one child.
