An online community post related to ‘leggings fashion’ is gathering attention.

On the 6th, a post titled ‘Heard collective mom-chung noises, could this be considered mom-chung too?’ was posted on an online community.

The author shared a story about recently attending an elementary school sports day with her husband, where many family members were present, including dads, moms, grandmothers, and grandfathers.

At the sports day visited by the author, two teachers were dressed in leggings.

The author explained, “The leggings revealed too much. One wore a half-sleeve t-shirt that came down to just below her chest, showing some skin.”

She also shared, “While the leggings suited their good figures, the problem was that every time these teachers walked in front while assisting with the sports day, the fathers sitting on the stairs would bow their heads or turn away.”

She added, “I understand that leggings are comfortable and have good figures, but did they have to wear them on a sports day? Especially when so many fathers and older people are present, it made me uncomfortable.”

The implication is that the attendees of the sports day felt uncomfortable due to the teachers’ fashion choices.

Online Community

Later, the author mentioned this at a gathering with friends and heard the comment, “If you guys think like that, you’re collectively making mom-chung noises,” which led her to share her concerns.

Netizens responded to the post with comments like, “I would also feel uncomfortable if someone wore leggings in such a situation. It feels like they can’t differentiate between time and place,” and “Please, only wear leggings indoors for Pilates or yoga.”

On the other hand, there were negative reactions such as, “I can’t understand how you can live in this world if you feel uncomfortable about this,” “What’s the problem with what they wear,” and “Are you collectively jealous?”
