Recently, there has been a surge of interest in the Alexander McQueen outfit worn by Jungkook of the group BTS during his schedule in New York.
On the evening of the 6th (local time) in New York, Jungkook appeared on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ one of the most famous talk shows in the United States, for a promotional event related to the release of his solo album, GOLDEN.
That day, Jungkook performed the title track “Standing Next to You” from his solo album GOLDEN, garnering a hot response from global fans. This was the first time the “Standing Next to You” performance was unveiled on a U.S. public TV program aimed at the general public.
Show host Jimmy Fallon highlighted Jungkook’s new album, his solo single “Seven (feat. Latto),” which broke the record for the fastest billion streams on Spotify, and his platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), focusing on Jungkook’s strides as a global pop star.
When asked if he had expected such success, Jungkook replied, “I had confidence, but honestly, I didn’t know it would go this far. I’m really thankful to our ARMY, and I believe this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
Regarding the album title GOLDEN, he explained, “I have a strong connection with ‘gold.’ The time I’ve walked so far all feels like ‘gold,’ so when thinking about the album name, I couldn’t think of anything but GOLDEN.” He also added, “I want to be an artist who can handle various genres,” regarding the diverse composition of the album.
Jungkook ended the day’s appearance with a performance of the new title track, “Standing Next to You.” Along with Jungkook’s outstanding eloquence throughout the interview, his outfit caught the eye: an ivory-colored jacket with striking black & gold jacquard details, a slash knit, and indigo denim pants.
Jungkook’s look was identified as being from Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2024 men’s collection. The jacket, knit, and pants prices are yet to be determined, while the Wonder Lace-up boots are priced at 1.79 million won (approximately $1,500).
On the 8th, Jungkook appeared on NBC’s flagship morning show, Today Show‘s CitiConcert Series, and performed a solo outdoor concert at TODAY Plaza.
