Actor Barton Cowperthwaite is garnering attention as he shares his unfortunate current condition.

On November 11th (local time), actor Barton Cowperthwaite (31) shared news of his brain tumor through his Instagram.

Barton stated, “I was diagnosed with at least a stage 2 neurocytoma yesterday. It’s a pretty decent-sized brain tumor,” and revealed pictures taken at the hospital and brain scans.

Barton explained, “The tumor cells originating from the brain do not spread to other parts of the body. The only treatment is brain surgery. The doctor said they could remove most of the tumor.”

He continued, “Once the surgery is successfully completed, I will definitely return to my (amazing, talented, excellent, funny) self after rehabilitation,” showing a positive attitude.

He added, “The surgery is planned for mid or late next week. I will continue to share my journey of treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation.”

According to John Hopkins Medicine, neurocytoma is a ‘common type of tumor originating from the brain,’ accounting for 33% of all brain tumors.

Despite the news, fans who saw Barton’s positive attitude responded with comments like “Please stay healthy…,” “He’s only 31, what to do,” “His positive attitude is amazing,” “I hope he recovers…” and more.

Barton Cowperthwaite gained popularity with his charming character in the Netflix drama Tiny Pretty Things, where he showcased his ballet acting skills.
