Singer Jason Mraz has said that his wife played a significant role in his acceptance of being bisexual.

On the 14th (local time), U.S. media People reported that Jason Mraz had struggled to accept himself after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Jason Mraz confessed to being bisexual in 2018. On the 13th, in an interview with GLAAD, a nonprofit organization for sexual minorities in the U.S., he revealed that he had mixed feelings right up until the interview, saying, “I had to run through many different scenarios before arriving here.” He continued, “It’s hard to do and hard to reveal. What I’m basically explaining now is a divorce, you know? It brings a lot of guilt and shame,” implying that opening up about his sexual preference and his divorce was not an easy task.

Jason married Christina Carano in 2015. However, he first publicly disclosed his sexual experiences with men in 2018.

In an interview with Billboard at the time, he admitted, “Even while I was dating the woman who became my wife, I had sexual experiences with men.” Jason shared that he had wondered, “Am I gay?” His wife, Christina, referred to this as having two spirits. He said, “It’s what Native Americans call someone who can love both men and women. I really like it,” expressing gratitude for his wife’s respect for his sexual identity.

Meanwhile, Jason Mraz announced his divorce from Christina Carano last June. The exact date and reasons have not been disclosed.

Jason Mraz is a singer with many hit songs. In particular, “I’m Yours” and “Butterfly” have enjoyed explosive popularity in South Korea.
