The Harry Potter cast and crew have reunited.

People reported on the 14th (local time) that the documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived, which captures the life of David Holmes, a stuntman from the Harry Potter films, will be released through HBO on the 15th (local time).

David Holmes was a stunt performer who doubled for actor Daniel Radcliffe, who played the main character Harry Potter. In January 2009, he suffered an accident during a test shoot for the Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows series, where he collided with a wall. As a result, he broke his neck, suffered a spinal injury, and was paralyzed from the waist down.

Daniel Radcliffe has been instrumental in telling David Holmes’ story through a documentary.

Radcliffe explained to People why he decided to make the documentary, saying, “I’ve wanted to create something with David’s story for years because he’s special, and I wanted to share it with the world.”

Radcliffe then revealed that he had asked for help from Dan Hartley, who had worked as a video associate on Harry Potter, to make David’s documentary. He also added that Vanessa Davis, who was in charge of publicity, and Amy Stares, who worked as an assistant director, from the Harry Potter production team joined to lend their support.

David Holmes himself said, “I feel a responsibility that my story not only reveals myself but also represents the broader disabled community with whom I share commonalities.”

Meanwhile, Radcliffe said, “The production team showed this video to as many of David’s friends and family as possible. I can proudly say that we admire him.”

Earlier this year, news broke that Harry Potter would be remade as an HBO drama series, exciting fans worldwide. However, no specific information, such as the lineup or synopsis, has been revealed yet.
